After cutting the circular tree skirt from a square quilt, the corners remain and I don't like to waste. From this I cut nearly 50 layered circles. I gathered red and gold floss and blanket stitched the edges. Now this is my kind of sewing! I like the rhythm and repetition of simple embroidery and now have another textured circle to go with the yo-yos. To me, very cute!
Brother-in-law Kuanza came home from Shanghai for Chinese New Year and brought gifts. This is one of them, a roll of tea which, when opened, are packed like small cakes meant for a teapot. I can't wait to try!
