Digging through silk ended with a gasp when I reached this rich blue.
This fabric wasn't conducive to tearing into strips as other silks are. The woven threads are thread-like, as opposed to flossy, and I didn't know how it would wrap. Had I just wasted a good length of fabric? I hesitated to tear the second piece. Now I see this weave is a pleasure to work with because it requires less tension. My fingers aren't sore from pulling and holding. Threads that loosen from raw edges are still pesky, but the color is a delight.
